Too many stories floating through my head

I need to stop thinking. That’s what I need to do. Yep. Yep. I just need to shut my brain down and make it stop. I asked my writer buddy to help.

She refuses.

No way. I ain’t standing in front of that freight train.

See? Where’s the love?

Actually, I wouldn’t get in front of that train either if she asked me. Why? Because it’s part of a writer’s life to constantly come up with ideas.

The moment one strikes, I try to write it down. But then I start thinking about it more and more …. and more …….. and more and you see the problem.

I become consumed with ideas.

This is why I am currently writing After Dark (through Emi J. Gayle) and will, after that is, shift to Surrender (written as me) and then back to either Day After (sequel to After Dark) OR to this new one — the sequel to First Kiss(es) which is, now aptly titled and appropriate ‘setup in First Kiss(es)’ called “Truth or Dare”.

My problem now?

I want to write THEM ALL. Right now. Write now. Riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiight now.

I really, really, really, really, really, really, really, want to write them all.

So I’m going to have to force myself to stop. To left one lie or to add only little bits to it because I need to concentrate.

Thought my other writer buddy will probably yell at me and tell me to listen to the one that’s yelling loudest (just you wait, that will show up in the comments). 🙂

What’s all this mean? I have 5 projects on the burner in some form or fashion. ALL of them have early synopsis drawn up. All of them have a book already written that they will draw from. It’s now up to me to figure out which story is ‘yelling at me the loudest’ or which one, like that picture there, is spewing forth words.

Someone please tell me I’m not alone! How do you handle too many ideas?
