“Feed Your Reader” (Ebooks Only <– oh yeah!) Hop! and I have a mega question about ebooks and you!
Thank you, up front, to I Am A Reader, Not A Writer, and Books: A True Story for hosting this awesome hop!
We all know what an ebook is, right? It’s those invisible pixels, bits, bytes and digital media that make up the new ‘book’ these days. More and more ereaders are taking over the world. Yup, I have a Kindle. So does my husband. I have an iPad too and read on it a lot. Actually … I haven’t bought a paperback in almost 2.5 years. Egad!
Yet, I’ve also read more than I ever have!
Isn’t that a testament to ebooks? There’s more for me, I can get them faster, like when I’m at home at 11pm at night and need a book … up goes the website, a few navigational steps later and voila! Book in hand!
Bravo me!
Today though, is different. Today, I’m giving away one of MY books … my electronically produced ebook … After Dark which doesn’t even release until October 31st!
And what’s this book all about?Let me tell you!
What eighteen year old Mac Thorne doesn’t know will probably kill her.
In exactly eight months, five days, three hours and thirteen minutes, Mac has to choose what she’ll be for the rest of her life.
She has no choice but to pick. As a Changeling, it’s her birthright. To Mac, it’s a birthchore. Like going to school with humans, interacting with humans, and pretending to be human during the pesky daylight hours.
Once darkness descends, Mac can change into any supernatural form that exists—which makes her as happy as she can be. That is, until Winn Thomas, the biggest geek in her senior class figures out there’s more to what hides in the dark than most are willing to acknowledge.
In this first of the 19th Year Trilogy, Winn might know more about Mac than even she does, and that knowledge could end their lives, unless Mac ensures the powers-that-be have no choice but to keep him around.
This book is in ARC format which means it’s ONLY in ebook right now (though once released, it will also be in paperback). So for now, I can offer you one ARC 10 weeks before everyone else can get their hands on one!
All you have to do is answer one question in the blog comments (question is in the Rafflecopter!)

Last but not least … there are tons of other awesome ways to feed your eReader .. .check ‘em out … here!

No, I love having all my books in one place in my Kindle.
Me, too!
I love both Ebooks and regular books. I love having a full bookshelf, but reading on an e-reader is easier in the dark
Very much easier to read in the dark!
I would go back to paper because those are my favorite!
Yes I like both!
I actually do both but prefer print
There is something ‘about’ print, isn’t there?
I go back and forth between ebooks and paper books. Currently though, my only paper copies have been ARC’s and I have purchased ebooks.
Interesting!
I read both ebooks and print. Though I prefer ebooks more.
Yeah for ebooks!
If you would have asked me this question before I got my ereader, I would have said definitely would go and stay with print but. Now I have one . I have to go with ebooks . Though I love seeing my shelves filled . It’s not so easy when you have to move..
Oh yeah, WAY easier to move with a single eReader!
I still love both! I love the ease of use of the kindle, but I still love to look at my books on the shelf. I am a cover junkie, lol! Thanks for the giveaway. Been dying to read this book.
I’m a cover junkie too. I swear, I love covers!
I try and alternate between both. Like you I enjoy reading on my IPad and Kindle and due to that I’ve read more than ever in my life. Yet recently, I bought a couple of paper backs and remembered how much I loved to hold a book and pass the pages. Therefore, I’ll try and alternate them more now.
I’d like to think I’ll alternate, but I kinda think I won’t. LOL
I love the feel of a physical copy over and eBook, but I prefer reading on my kindle if I’m lying down to read. There’s no killing my arm to hold up a heavy book and then having to turn the pages too
So I need a bit of both! I like to mix it up so if I’ve just read an eBook I’ll probably go read a paperback next
Oh yeah, reading on a Kindle while laying down rocks!
I’ve only recently got my Kindle, so of course I’m still a fan of paperback.
You’ll convert!
Or maybe not. LOL
I read both e-books and paperbacks and I love both ways equally. I love ebooks because I read them faster and I love paperbacks because I can carry them around. Thanks for the great giveaway!
What about the books with racy covers? Just don’t buy in paperback?
Woohoo! Loving this hop!
I still occasionally want to hold a paperback book. Usually when I;m taking a bubble bath. I’m afraid of dropping my ereader in the tub, but with a paperback, I can dry it out if I drop it in the bathwater. But for EVERY thing else, it’s the ereader for me.
Thanks for being part of the hop and for the chance to win.
Yeah, that’s one area I worry about, too … water is just not kind to electronics!
Well, I don’t have an eReader yet so it’s much easier for me to lay down or recline and read a paper book. I love having a hard copy of books anyway, but an eReader would make having so many books a lot easier to manage, haha. I like both, but kinda love paper books more.
Come back and answer this question again when you have an eReader.
LOL
Definitely, yes. I have a Kindle Fire and I still myself reading print as often as I can. I love the escape from electronics all together that reading a print book brings~ it’s just more relaxing to me.
But I still love the convenience of my ereader on the go~ especially if I’m going to be out of town and have my head in several different books.
Yep, on-the-go use … #1!
Absolutely! I only use my ereader on vacation so can bring books to read without adding weight to my suitcase, which allows me to buy paperbacks to take home with me. For me no ebook compares to the look, feel and even smell of a real book. I cannot imagine my home without my ever growing library.
But will your ever growing library eventually take over your home?
LOL
I love both ebooks and real books. There is advantages to both so I don’t know that I will ever give one up completely. I love my kindle and the ability to highlight, look up words, find great deals, and carry so many books at once!!! Thanks for the giveaway!!!! Really looking forward to your book!
That’s just how I am … the convenience factor is simply amazing!
I love my e-reader with ebooks and my full bookshelves:)
Thanks for the giveaway!
Having both really is a blessing, isn’t it?
I do a mix of ebook and paper. Ebook is convenient but sometimes I want the feel of paper, to stare at the cover or maps, and sometimes take to signings.
Very useful for signings, yup.
I like my ereader but it will never replace a real book
If I have the choice between the two I will always take a real book.
Books are great. I don’t discount that at all!
I still prefer paper, but I enjoy my Kobo e-reader when I’m on holiday or travelling light.
Super benefit to an ereader: Travel.
I will probably only buy new books as e-books. That way I don’t have to give up any of my current books. I still get real books frequently from the library.
That’s the way to do it!
I read both…I love them the same…
Awe.
YES! I love them both too much…
Thanks for the giveaway!
Too much LOL Is there ever really a ‘too much’?
I went ebook even if in my country they are not so popular but I still go back to paper for the ones I love the most!
A mix IS nice.
Right now, I don’t really have a choice, as I don’t have a working eReader, and reading on the PC hurts my eyes, so I don’t do alot of that.
I used to have a Sony Reader Touch, and loved it, but it got broken. I did still read HB/PB books even when I had my PRS-600, but I liked to read newer ones on my eReader.
Overall, I do actually prefer the feel of “real” books in my hands, and the smell. I am a true bookaholic, and I don’t think that eBooks or audiobooks will ever replace HB/PB books.
I like having options.
Options are good!
I read both! Now I LOVE my kindle fire and love being able to get a book ASAP but love reading paper also!
Gotta love Kindle!
I’ve had my kindle since last christmas. Since then I have read 160 books, and only 3 of them were paperbacks! I love paperbacks and I love my kindle, but books are so cheap on kindle, and I get review copies on kindle so most of what I read is digital now. I totally wouldn’t want to be without my kindle now
Wow! THAT is quite the number!
Yes…but only bc I’m getting blind!
Gotta love that automatic upsizing of the font!
I will never leave real books
You go girl!
I love both I read ebooks on my laptop and paperbacks! Thank you for the great giveaway!
Laptops are good for that too, aren’t they?
I enjoy both. Ebooks have many advantages I will probably always get both
Definite advantages, but cool!
I enjoy both
Both are good!
Nice to do both!
