If you had a million dollars to GIVE AWAY … who would get it? #giveaway

Thank you, up front, to I’m a reader, not a writer,
Reading Away the Days and Reading a Little Bit of Everything for hosting this awesome hop!

No, I don’t have a million dollars to give away. Man! I wish I did! In fact, when I think about winning the lottery one of my first thoughts is about how much awesome money I could give to my church, to organizations that support and serve the world around me, local, regional, national and worldwide. I think about how my money could go toward drilling wells in Africa, to funding breast cancer research, to supporting a homeless shelter in my town.

Sure, I think about what I’d like to do with it, but for some reason, I’m always thinking about giving away a large portion of it — to help the world. And I would, too. If I had it.

Remember the movie Brewster’s Millions with Richard Pryor? Where he had to spend (WASTE!) $30 million in order to get $300 million? He couldn’t give away more than some measly percentage of his $30 mil. Nope. He had to spend it.

What a waste! Of course that’s fiction and if *I* had a million dollars, oh yeah, I’d have some places to share it with.

For instance, the Ovarian Cancer National Alliance.

Why them? Do I have cancer? No. I did, however, have a scare that you can read about here if you want.

As a writer, I have at least one friend who does have ovarian cancer. And Avon supported the KISS and Teal campaign. And if I hadn’t been sick on March 28th, I’d have been reading at the Lady Jane Salon which also supports this organization.

So you see, there are lots of reasons to support the Ovarian Cancer National Alliance and since I’m going to bet 99.9% of those who will comment on this post and participate in this giveaway are women … you have a duty to yourself to be involved — if not physically or by financial donation — mentally.

Learn the signs. Learn the symptoms. Listen to your bodies.

This little hop could be the most important one of your life.

Now on to the fun! Be sure to answer the question (hidden in the rafflecopter thingy) to qualify for the giveaway!
