If you saw it, would you read it? Lies Beneath by Anne Greenwood Brown #ReadOrNot

Lies Beneath by Anne Greenwood Brown

About the front:
Ooh! Mermaid? Girl diving in? Those colors are absolutely amazing! What’s up there? What’s down there? There are so many questions that really strike me. She’s young. Or really old if she’s a mermaid. Is she something else? What’s she swimming toward? What DOES lie beneath? And beneath what? I am totally sucked in by this cover.

Now let’s look at what the back says:

Calder White lives in the cold, clear waters of Lake Superior, the only brother in a family of murderous mermaids. The family plots the death of Jason Hancock, the man they blame for their mother’s death. Calder is charged with getting close to the man by getting close to his daughter, 17 years old Lily Hancock. When Calder falls for Lily, the plan goes awry. How can he simultaneously love her and plot her father’s murder? Then again, how can he double-cross his vengeful sisters and survive to tell the tale?

Does it match? Front to Back without the in between?
Yes! This is the kind of blurb that grabs me and totally fits with the cover! Yeah! I’m so excited and going to add this one to my TBR pile right now. Murderous mermaids? I always thought mermaids were sweet. 😉 Okay, not really, but if the author can take my experiential beliefs, those I get from other sources, and successfully turn them on their head, I’ll be all over this. Of course, it’s clearly a romance, too and the conflict of being torn is so common, but that’s like, right? Some conflicts are just that … common and they mean we understand the potential consequences right away. I love this kind of tale. So looking forward to this!

Where I’d read it
Anywhere. I want it for my Kindle right now. 🙂
